I was born and raised on The Chesapeake Bay on Gibson Island MD. Early on I enjoyed crabbing off the docks and driving my 1945 14’ Sears aluminum Jon boat around the harbor and Magothy River. I obtained my boating safety card at 6 years old and then my USCG Masters License at 21.
I have worked on Gibson Island since I was 14 years old and was the Assistant Harbor Master for 14 years before leaving in 2022. At that time my wife and I owned a physical therapy practice which we ran together for 6 years with a team of 16 amazing staff members of which I worked full time. In 2022 I was ready to be back out on the water and together we transitioned ownership of the PT Clinic.
At that time we purchased the Samantha Belle, a 46’ Markley with the intentions of sharing the wonderful Chesapeake Bay with as many others as we could.
I am an avid outdoorsman and love deer hunting, duck hunting, and long range rifle shooting. I’m a husband and father of 2 daughters. During the summer when schools out they get to be crew aboard the Samantha Belle.
