FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Our main homeports are Gibson Island and Ferry Point Marina in Arnold, MD. However, we are totally flexible in pickup and drop off locations.

Our Ferry Point Marina location for our private and public cruises has ample free public parking.

Always! You never know what kind of marine life you will see.

Safety is our top priority on the water. The captain and crew are responsible for ensuring a safe experience for all guests and have full authority on board. Smoking, cannabis, and any illegal drug use are strictly prohibited aboard the Samantha Belle. While cannabis has been decriminalized in Maryland, our vessel operates under the authority of the United States Coast Guard and is subject to federal regulations.

All alcohol consumption is BYOB and all local laws apply. The captain and crew reserve the right to discontinue a group or individual’s consumption for any reason.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

At Cruise the Chesapeake, we understand that plans can change. To help us manage our schedules and ensure all our guests have a seamless experience, we kindly ask that you notify us as soon as possible if you need to modify your reservation. Please contact us both by phone and email to ensure prompt communication. We will confirm your cancellation or rescheduling request via email.

Cruise the Chesapeake’s Right to Cancel or Delay:

  • Weather, Mechanical, or Staffing Issues:
    We sail in most weather conditions, but the safety of our passengers is our top priority. Cruise the Chesapeake reserves the right to cancel or delay any cruise due to weather, mechanical issues, or staffing concerns. If we must cancel your cruise, we will offer you the option to reschedule based on availability or provide you with a credit for the value of your booking to use at a later date.
  • Cancellation Timing:
    Cancellations by Cruise the Chesapeake may occur up to one hour before your scheduled departure time, depending on weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. We will make every effort to notify you as soon as possible.

 

Customer Cancellations or Rescheduling:

  • Notice Period:
    To receive a refund or reschedule your cruise, you must notify Cruise the Chesapeakeno later than 72 hours prior to your scheduled departure. Notifications can be made by phone and must be followed up in writing via email.
  • Refunds:
    For cancellations made at least 72 hours in advance, a full refund will be issued, minus a $15 service fee per passenger. If you have booked a private vessel, a $50 service fee per vessel will apply.
  • Rescheduling:
    If you wish to reschedule your cruise, we will do our best to accommodate you based on availability. Please note that rescheduling requests made less than 72 hours before your scheduled departure may incur an additional fee of 10% of the total booking cost.

General Conditions:

  • Refund Processing:
    Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days and issued to the original payment method.
  • Force Majeure:
    Cruise the Chesapeake is not liable for cancellations or delays due to factors beyond our control, including but not limited to extreme weather conditions, government actions, or other emergencies.
    We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Our goal is to provide you with a safe and enjoyable cruise experience.

The boat has some dry storage in the cockpit and down below. If you want to bring coolers, there’s plenty of room for those. They make great dry storage and seats too!

All cruises can be booked online. We are also happy to take reservations over the phone, and through email and text. Most of our customers prefer to speak on the phone before finalizing their booking and we like it too. Please feel free to call 443.223.1290 and speak with Capt. TJ Sanner directly. 

Food and drink will be solely the responsibility of the customers to provide. We are happy to work with any catering company and could even help with pick up if coordinated with enough notice.

Swimsuits are not required unless your private cruise wishes to go for a swim. There is a private bathroom aboard where one can change in or out of a swimsuit. Swimming is at your own risk we do not provide a lifeguard.

There are no showers aboard but there is a bathroom.

We have plenty of room aboard. Anything you would like to bring is fine. Some important things to consider to bring are…
-sunscreen
-sunglasses
-protective clothing for the sun
-up to 1/2 gallon of water per person
-cellphones and backup chargers
-food and snacks
-hats
-anti-seasick preventatives

Tips are welcome and it is up to the booking party’s discretion.
